Description
Methylene dithiocyanate is a member of the class of thiocyanates that is methan in which two of the hycrogens have been replaced by thiocyanato groups. Used as a biocide for the control of various pathogens and algae in industrial water systems and as a fungicide for the control of surface moulds and sapstain fungi on wood. It has a role as a fungicide and an antibacterial agent.

Details
Application
1. It is used as an antifungal and preservative for leather, wood, etc.
2. Used for soaking rice seeds to prevent and control various leaf spot diseases.
3. Used for sterilization and disinfection of swimming pool water bodies.
4. Used for industrial circulating water treatment.
5. Used in oil fields to reduce oil layer pollution, prevent clay expansion, sterilize and scale, and increase production.
6. Widely used in water treatment, sterilization and algae killing.
7. Used as fish medicine and widely used in aquaculture.
